It is with great sorrow that I am writing to
everyone to announce the final Caleb packing party will be at 10:00 am on
November 25th at the residence of Jerry Brian Riess. This is to keep in
tradition with the final Friday of the month dedicated to preparing boxes for
shipment to the Philippines.
Over the past week the board for Caleb Good News
Ministries has been discussing the future of the ministry. Knowing that Jerry
had hoped there would be a successor to take over the ministry. Unfortunately a
successor was not to be found. Thus with the passing of Jerry onto the Lords
kingdom, the board of directors has discussed and voted to dissolve the
not-for-profit organization. With that said, we wanted to hold one final
packing party to celebrate this great ministry, and to give us all one more
chance to serve and fellowship knowing that he is in a better place. I’m sure
there will be a story or two as we reminisce during this gathering.
Regarding clothing donations, we are still
gathering a few items for packing the boxes at the packing party. Any
additional clothes and food items we are not able to ship will be donated to a
local charity.
Regarding financial donation, Caleb will continue
to accept monetary donations through December 15th. We currently do not have
enough funds to send the anticipated number of boxes for the final
shipment. However we are trusting God will provide. In the event we are able
to cover the shipping costs, the remaining funds will be donated to a local
church or charity to be determined by the board.

10AM until finished. Afterwards we will be celebrating Jerry's
extraordinary efforts with a Pizza Party/Quasi Potluck. Which means bring
an item to share if you can. If you can't, then come anyway and give
the last shipment from Caleb to the Philippines a special send-off.
